Why I Cannot Keep My Thoughts Private Anymore
Long story short, while coming out of almost a decade of depression, my mind did not remain the same.
The thing that came to break me, somehow ended up shaping me.
Depression did not only give me pain. It taught me how to question. It taught me not to accept things blindly. It taught me to look below the surface. Not just what people are saying, but why they are saying it.
Life, truth, religion, fear, ambition, failure, success, humans, systems - I cannot see these things the same way anymore.
I am not saying I know everything.
Not at all.
But I do know this much: what I suffered, what I thought about, what I questioned, and what I understood has changed my life from the inside.
And for a long time, one thought kept coming back to me:
Why should all of this stay only inside me?
Every night, I feel something inside me asking the same question.
Why is the knowledge I am learning going to sleep with me again?
Why is the wisdom forming inside me still locked inside me?
It does not feel right anymore.
If my thinking has changed my life, if I have understood some things the hard way, if I have started seeing certain patterns clearly, then maybe it can help someone else too.
Maybe someone else will not have to suffer as much just to understand the same thing.
There is a thought from Chanakya that often comes to my mind: if you try to learn everything only from your own mistakes, one lifetime will not be enough. An intelligent person learns from other people's experiences too.
Maybe that is what I am trying to do here.
What I saw. What I suffered. What I broke through. What I questioned. What I understood.
I want to put it out.
Not to create content. Not for followers. Not to please an algorithm. Not to impress anyone.
I want to write because some thoughts are not meant to remain private forever.
I have always loved standing on the terrace and looking at the sky. Evening or night, when the sky is above me and there is some silence around, my mind goes into a different zone.
Many times in those moments, I used to feel that whatever I am thinking, whatever I am exploring, whatever I am trying to understand about life - it should reach people.
But then my mind would go into planning mode.
I will write a book someday. I will start YouTube someday. Once the startup works, I will get time. Once money comes, I will speak openly. Once security comes, I will touch controversial topics. In the future, I will do it properly.
And just like that, years kept passing.
Then one day, while standing on the terrace, a thought came so suddenly that it felt like the ground under my feet moved a little.
What if I am actually gone tomorrow?
My body will go, that is obvious.
But my mind will go with it too.
All the thoughts I never wrote will go with me.
All the wisdom that formed inside me, but never reached the world, will go with me too.
That thought felt strange.
I realised I was not only delaying my life. I was delaying the birth of my own thoughts.
A thought that never comes out cannot help anyone.
It stays locked inside the mind.
And one day, it dies with the body.
I cannot accept that.
I do not want to bury my mind under the ground with me.
So I will not wait anymore.
Not for the perfect time. Not for the perfect language. Not for the perfect platform. Not for the perfect safety. Not for the perfect version of myself.
If something feels true, I will write it. If a question disturbs me, I will write it. If something shakes me from inside, I will write it. If I understand something, I will write it.
It may be raw. It may be messy. It may be sharp. Some people will understand. Some people will not.
That is fine.
Some people may feel uncomfortable.
Some people may not like it.
Some might even hate me for saying certain things.
But I cannot keep betraying my own soul just to make my words easier for everyone else.
Truth is not always sweet.
Sometimes it is bitter.
Sometimes it burns before it cleans.
And if something inside me keeps asking to be written, I cannot keep burying it just because someone else may not be ready to hear it.
I am not here to collect approval.
I cannot mute my soul just to match the comfort level of the world.
If even one person starts thinking because of something I wrote, if even one person saves some time, if even one honest question wakes up in one mind, if even one life improves because of my vichaar, then it is worth it to me.
This is why I cannot keep my thoughts private anymore.
Because thoughts that stay private forever eventually die private.
And I do not want my wisdom to die with me.
